SYNOPSIS

On a small dock, in a desert landscape made up of boats and sea... ensure a keeper.

The caretaker is a man of solitude, small ritual gestures and sea.

His days are repeated in all the same watchful waiting, he sweeps the pier and sits down to wait.

But a day comes a little girl who wants to play and a bride who is running away, and stops in this

metaphysical place as being trapped in the magic of waiting.

 

 

DIRECTOR’S NOTES

This story wants to tell how a man can hide himself in a role not to have to live any more, for no

longer having to choose, interact, understand and get involved.

This story talks of loneliness as closed scheme in which to escape.

But it also speaks of life, which inevitably comes knocking at the door without warning and so intrusive

forces you to respond and react.

It speaks of my grandfather, whose job was to live as a guard of a place outside of time.

 

He was the caretaker.

The caretaker of a remote castle on the sea, away from the world and its mechanisms.

The story I want to tell it is made of lines.

Made of an area at the same time opened and closed in which the protagonist has taken refuge.

In this geometric space, the boundaries and their break establish roles and relationships in history.

Depending on the area in which they are, bodies and emotions of the characters move in a different

way, as on a chessboard.

The stories I tell often live in a space-time dimension other. Even so, my intention is not to work in

terms of symbolic or grotesque. What I do is build another reality that simply has different rules and

in which the everyday is also very concret and real also in his magical and mysterious issues.
